October 12, 2004	Looking for Equipment - New Programs in Europe The International Ringette Federation is looking for equipment to assist with programs that have recently begun in the countries of Slovakia and the Czech Republic. We are looking for helmets, cages, shin pads, elbow pads, girdles, pants, skates, etc. As well, we would appreciate donations of sets of jerseys from any associations who may be purchasing new ones this year. For more information about how to get your gear to us for shipment to these countries, please contact either the IRF VP Sport Development, Lisa Tilley or the VP Administration, Lucie Anne Ingoldsby. Donations received to date: jerseys from the Red Deer (Alberta) Ringette Association jerseys from the Waterloo (Ontario) Ringette Association Looking for Volunteers - Board of Directors The International Ringette Federation will be holding its Congress meetings in conjunction with the World Ringette Championships in Sweden during the week of November 22, 2004. This year we are searching for candidates for the positions of President, VP Administration, VP Sport Development, and VP Competition. The position of President is currently vacant so the commitment for this position is to the end of 2006. The other 3 positions are 4 year terms, to the end of 2008. Duties of the positions can be found on the website under the "About", "Board Member" section. If you need more information or are interested in submitting your name for a position, please contact the VP Administration, Lucie Anne Ingoldsby.

April 13, 2004	2004 World Ringette Championships Dates for the 2004 World Ringette Championship have been announced as the week of November 22, 2004 in Stockholm, Sweden.  The championship games are scheduled for Saturday, November 27. Contest for a new IRF logo The International Ringette Federation is sponsoring a contest for the design of a new logo.  All submissions should be e-mailed to Esa Harju or Satu Himberg by September 15, 2004.  The new logo will be presented at the 2004 World Ringette Championships in Sweden. Ringette Tournaments in Europe this summer There will be two tournaments played in Europe in August 2004, the Czech Challenge Cup and the Finland Challenge Cup. The European organizer of these events is Challenger s.r.o., www.challenger.cz, and the North American partner for these events is Azorcan Global Ltd., www.azorcan.net.
