2013 WRC had it's Opening Ceremony on Sunday evening at the Capitol Centre of North Bay. The host committee had put up a great show hosted by the chair of the local organizing committee Jeff Francom and Monique Lugli. The President of the IRF David Mills declared the 10th World Ringette Championships opened and wished the best of luck to all of the athletes to their games.

Opening Ceremony respected the memory of the inventor of our sport Sam Jacks and his wife, a true ambassador Agnes Jacks. Their two sons Bruce and Barry Jacks and their families attended the ceremony too. The host committee had made a nice, historical video respecting the memory of Agnes Jacks and the whole Jacks family.
